Track Name: Hear The Sound
Day Breaks upon the sea, the shining waste that's home to me. Grey wake that slowly fades and what's ahead we won't foresee.

Stay for awhile and see familiar skies brighten with burning day anew.
Stay for Awhile and feel the rolling tide and hear the sound.

Day makes the world of blue, with light fragmented shattered through. Snowy heights are slowly scrolling by and ports remembered slip in view.

Stay for awhile and see familiar skies brighten with burning day anew.
Stay for Awhile and feel the rolling tide and hear the sound.

Well the edge of the horizon is farther than we knew, and the rhythm of the water's breath determines what we do today. We may never understand the world we are moving through, and even as we're home we're finding someplace new.

Day breaks upon the sea, the shining waste that's home to me.
Track Name: Angels
Whitewashed wall and stained-glass pane,
were witness to my younger days,
in Tennessee.
Grew up earning preacher's praise,
but always dreaming of the day,
when I would leave.

Well in my childhood I was warned,
against the Grey Hills in the North,
where evil lived.
One day when I was seventeen,
I climbed the hills so as to see,
what evil is.

At a clearing in the trees,
a green-eyed girl younger than me,
would dance alone.
She knew my name, she knew me well.
She asked me laughing, "can I tell you something, boy?
Well, come in close."
She said, "Salvation's not the thing,
and it's life that takes the living don't you know?"
Then she was gone.

I hear the Angels sing;
The sound of saints marching...
Could it still be my fate
to see those pearly gates?

A short goodbye, a midnight train.
A shining city by the bay,
and a need to eat.
Those were low and lonesome times,
and honest work was hard to find,
and hard to keep.

Through Golden Gates a ship was bound,
beneath a bridge that ended in the clouds,
and out to sea.
Oh it was bitter work but some
ungodly sailor told me, "son,
we'll make you free."

Those sailors taught me how to curse,
how to hit and how to hurt,
and my laugh grew hard.
That captain taught me how to hate,
and I learned just what I could take
of the way thing are.

I hear the Angels sing;
The sound of saints marching...
Could it still be my fate
to see those pearly gates?

It's long ago I sailed away,
and I scarce recall those holy days,
in Tennessee.
I've been a thief and been a liar,
and my heart's been bound by wild desire
out on the sea.

I've learned that I will kill for love,
and not to speak too swiftly of
what evil is.
My heart's been broken once or twice,
but I've not forgot that girl's advice,
or to live.

I hear the Angels sing;
The sound of saints marching...
Could it still be my fate
to see those pearly gates?
Track Name: There is a Time
There is a time for love and laughter.
The days will pass like summer storms.
The winter wind will follow after,
but there is love and love is warm.

There is a time when leaves are falling.
The woods are grey, the paths are old.
The frost will come as geese are calling.
You need a fire against the cold.

There is a time for us to wander,
When time is sound and so are we.
The woods are greener over yonder.
The path is new, the world is free.

So do your roaming in the springtime.
You'll find your love and summer sun.
The snow will come and bring a harvest,
and you can sleep when the day is done.

There is a time for us to wander,
When time is sound and so are we.
The woods are greener over yonder.
The path is new, the world is free.
Track Name: Hatred in our Hearts
Oh there is such hatred in our hearts that all our finest phrases can't renounce. We're losing time and while we try and play our parts, all the while our childhood homes are burning down.

"Speak softly dear, and count your words."
But the screaming of sirens loud was all you heard.
You were me surest friend in fall,
so close I couldn't see you at all.
I might have known what would befall,
what with our fears and failing all.

"What do you see my dear?" I'd like to know,
but these callouses on my eyes formed long ago.
I know you're only passing blame,
because I'm passing just the same.
Beneath my smile lies such disdain,
that love is hardly what I claim.

Oh there is such hatred in our hearts that all our finest phrases can't renounce. We're losing time and while we try and play our parts, all the while our childhood homes are burning down.
Track Name: Patterns in Snow
Snow's coming down.
We'll keep our fingers entwined, lady mine.
Fire's fading light,
reveals the wrinkles and lines,
taken in time.
Oh but it's fine.

Band starts to play,
a melody moving slow, a radio.
Dance on the lawn,
and what will be there to show,
but patterns in snow?
Track Name: O, Gloria!
And when I see you, darling, best not be alarmed to find yourself held fast in my arms. We'll cast aside the remnants of this road we've known so long and sing an honest song.

O we've been lost but are we found, O are we homeward bound?
Our hearts are longing for the sound, O Gloria!

We'll make a joyous shout as we haul away the chain and bring her head round, Northern bound again. And through the sun and starlight, the memory will remain- O dear I'll see you soon.

O we've been lost but are we found, O are we homeward bound?
Our hearts are longing for the sound, O Gloria!

We've drifted so long, right back to where we began.
Track Name: Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
was blind but now I see.

Twas Grace that brought my heart to fear,
and Grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear,
the hour I first believed.

Through Many dangers, toils and snares,
we have already come.
Twas Grace that brought us safe thus far,
and Grace will lead us home.

O Grace will lead us home.
